Scott Burns — in a 1979 publicity photo used in WRKO's media kit for advertisers. (#2)

Blonde-haired, blue-eyed Scott Burns comes from an environment most city people know only from such shows as "The Waltons" and "Little House on the Prairie."  Scott comes from the rolling farmlands of Pomeroy, Washington.  His family then moved to the hustle and bustle of Moscow, Idaho.  As a youngster, Scott performed many farm duties such as "slopping hogs" and feeding chickens, but realized this was not the life for him.  When Scott was growing up, he demonstrated a desire to become a comedian.  When he told his mother this, her response was, "You must be joking!" Scott then pursued other interests.  His segue into radio occurred when he was approaching college age. His first job in radio was at KRPL in Moscow, Idaho.  During his stint there, Scott religiously hosted a "Sunday Morning Hymn Book" show every weekend.  After working there, Scott worked at KEIN out of Great Falls, Montana and KREM in Spokane, Washington.  Each night on 68RKO enjoy the refreshing sense of humor of Scott Burns, from 6 PM to 10 PM.
